Client Success Story > STP, DSC, HLR, and HSS deployment in the operator's environment
STP, DSC, HLR, and HSS deployment in the operator’s environment
A leading operator in Saudi had a requirement to deliver dedicated 4G, 3G, and Push-to-talk services for its corporate subscribers who proposed to have dedicated communication in critical fields such as oil fields, busy stadiums, etc. The operator wanted to install new core elements to handle the traffic of their corporate subscribers while reusing the radio and other network backbones in their existing network.
The Challenges
Timelines were short as the operator wanted to launch the corporate plan quickly due to the end customer requirements.
Proper Resilience had to be tested and confirmed before launch. This was critical due to the shorter pilot period before it was provided to end customers.
Even though the customer was reusing their existing network's radio and IP backbone, all other nodes in the dedicated network were new and had to be deployed and integrated from scratch.
The team handling the HLR, HSS, STP, and DSC nodes deployment was required to be experts in the Core network and charging domain signaling flows. They must be able to identify and resolve all the issues, which are not limited to 4G, 3G data browsing failure, 3G call failures, and Provisioning failures.
As an expert integrator of the core nodes, the deployment team should be able to identify the test case that verifies the entire network’s resilience, functionality, and end-to-end user experience.
Telaverge engineers deployed all the critical nodes, such as STP, DSC, HLR, and HSS, in the network without many challenges.
Integration of other nodes was completed within the planned time. These critical nodes were deployed, HLR and HSS system configurations were completed, and successful initial user tests were conducted. Telaverge engineers devised a test plan to verify the complete solution and end-user experience.
Telaverge engineers helped other node team members to complete their tests and resolve the end-to-end integration and functional issues.
The deployment engineers created the rules that routed subscribers toward all nodes. As the operator wanted to launch the service quickly, Telaverge engineers tested the end to services and quickly resolved identified issues.
Deployment and commissioning were completed successfully.
Testing was completed, the Operator could identify, and Teams could resolve the issue quickly.
Customers were able to launch the services on time.
