One of the world's most popular streaming services companies required an end-to-end video analytics framework that supports YouTube and Facebook. They also wanted the framework to support their in-house streaming for subscribers. The requirement included a dashboard for clients to track metrics like views, viewers, time watched, geo-location, average time observed, and live metrics.

The Challenges

The primary challenge was to capture and store YouTube and Facebook Video analytics.

To provide a unified dashboard that will display the metrics of various streaming providers and to have another dashboard exclusively for YouTube and Facebook.

To have a database design schema to store video analytics from various streaming providers.

To track viewership behavior and collect data about which streaming service is popularly watched among subscribers and their geo-location.

The Solutions

Telaverge’s engineers captured and stored video analytics from streaming providers like YouTube and Facebook. Besides this, analytics for in-house streaming was also captured and stored.

Created dashboards for different streaming providers to track Live and On-Demand metrics.

A schema was also designed with time series and stored Video analytics in the ClickHouse database.

The Outcomes

Integration of YouTube and Facebook Video analytics was completed successfully.

End-to-end testing was completed, and issues were resolved in record time.

Customers could launch the Video analytics framework as per plan and on time.
